Last week ten classes took part in the key stage 1 dance festival. Each class has worked really hard to learn their dance and although they were a little nervous before performing, they all did really well. Many of the children had never performed in anything like this before, and they grew in confidence. This has become such a popular event for the children.
In the first session at Bentfield we enjoyed watching classes from five schools share their work with us: Manuden (year 1/2 – happy), Birchanger (year 1 – magic), Bentfield (year 1 – three little pigs), Magna Carta (reception- rockin’ robin) and St Mary’s Stansted (year 1 – spies).
For the second session we moved to Henham and again enjoyed five different dances: Henham (year 1 – lion king; year 2 – Hawaiian rollercoaster ride), Little Hallingbury (year 1 – I wanna be like you; year 2 – the lion sleeps tonight) and St Mary’s Hatfield Broad Oak (year 1/2 – consider yourself).
