Uttlesford School Sport partnership X Country results.

On Wednesday 14th November over 600 children aged from years 3-6 came and ran the Partnership X country at Newport Free School. The competition had competitors from across the partnership in both boys and girls teams in years 3, 4,5and 6. Schools that had previously competed in the Saffron Walden, Stansted, Newport and Dunmow competition and had come first second and third had the opportunity to run to win each event.

The results are recorded below with some fantastic individual wins.

In year 3 Alice Ede who attends Great Chesterford won the event. Second place was Cecily Hannah from Felsted School and third was Amelia Mason from Felsted primary. The team events for year 3 girls were- joint third place – Clavering and R A Butler. Second place was Friends school with Great Chesterford winning the event.

For year 3 boys Jake Latham attends St Thomas More won the event. Second place was William Saward from R  AButler and third place runner was Charlie Tochurst from Howe Green. In the team event for year 3 boys – third place was Dame Bradburys, second place was St Thomas More with R A Butler winning the event.

In year 4 girls Talia Lamber who attends R A Butler won the event. Second place was Lily Godfrey from Friends and third was Verity Lowe from Chrishall School. The team event for year 4 girls were-third place Friends school, second place Rickling and the winning school was Henham School.

For year 4 boys Finley Bates from R A Butler won the event with Bobbie Garcia-landa finishing second and third placed runner was Finn McGrath from R A Butler. The team event for year 4 boys third placed school was St Thomas More, second place was Clavering and R A Butler winning the event.

In year 5 girls event Friends schools had first place with Kara Cowell and second place with Rosie Bromwell. Third place was Maddy Haires from Dunmow St Marys School. In the team event St Thomas More came third, Friends came second with R A Butler girls winning overall.

The year 5 boys was won by Max Godfrey from Friends school, Thomas Lister from R A Butler cme second with James Fraser finishing third from Chrishall school.  Henham boys finished third, Friends boys finished second with R A Butler team winning.

The year 6 girls event was won by Helena Dyce from Clavering school, Francesca Topel from Howe Green came second with Indigo Griffiths from Friends school came third. In the team event Clavering were third, R A Butler were second and Friends school won the event.

The year 6 boys event was won by Barnaby Knight from Friends school. Tom Keogh from ST Thomas more and Jake Weston from Great Dunmow came third.  Takeley came third in the team event with St Thomas more finishing second with R A Butler finishing the event.

It was an extremely well run event by the Sports Partnership team – congratulations to all the competitors. Many schools and individual runners will be running in Southend in the next level competition in March 2013.
