2012 School Games Curriculum Competition For Primary and Secondary Schools.

2012 school games Curriculum competition –Get involved!

The School Games is an opportunity to engage with all areas of school life as well as to develop and extend the skills and understanding learned across the curriculum. In support of this a range of competitions have been developed to compliment the sporting offer with a focus on how the School Games can inspire literacy, numeracy and creative skills.

The curriculum competitions use local intra-school and inter-school sporting opportunities as a platform for young people to refine and showcase their reporting, announcing and photography skills as well as stimulus for creating music, art and application of statistics.

The top thirty entries from the photography, announcer, commentator and reporter categories from the south East of England region will be invited to a media master class day during the spring term. The national winners in these categories will be given further training and deployed at the Level 4 School Games in the Olympic Park, London in May 2012.
