Henham and Ugley Primary school get the new Platinum award!

Jackie Coleman the  School Games organiser for uttlesford  would like to extend huge congratulations to Henham and Ugley school our first ever  School to receive the new Games Mark Platinum Award.

The Platinum Award was launched earlier this year as an extension of the School Games Mark to reward schools who have maintained consistently high standards with their school sport provision. As part of the extended application the eligible candidates, who had achieved five successive gold awards, were asked to submit a detailed case study along with a supporting paragraph from their School Games Organiser (SGO).

In the country there were  104 winning schools .Henham  received a special plaque to commemorate their achievement and will be entered into a draw to win a surprise presentation visit from a celebrity guest.

Congratulations to Henham this  is fantastic!

CPD Rounders umpiring- 02/05/18

This practical session explains the Rules of Rounders.

CPD Tennis – teaching ideas for all years mini tennis and inclusion tennis- 20/03/18

Tuesday 20th March 2018.

This is a practical course for Tennis training for Primary school Teachers and Support staff.

A training course run by the LTA . This course will focus on inclusion ideas. If you attend

your school will receive some further resources.

The course offers skill training for all staff. The coaching session will be an exciting session

encouraging new skills and drills for lessons and after school activities. If your school did not

have the training before your school will receive an excellent bag of equipment which

includes a net, racquets and balls for a class.

All staff will receive the new lesson plans organised for key stage 1 and 2 to assist with the

CPD Inclusion: teaching PE for children with minor disabilities (ideas for children who have dyspraxia, poor co-ordination, balance and timing)- 30/01/18

A practical session where the projectability staff clearly explores ideas to work with practical

ideas for children who suffer with dyspraxia, poor co-ordination, balance, timing or co-

ordination difficulties.

There will be an opportunity to share ideas and questions to assist with planning and

delivering specific strategies for inclusive PE.

CPD Gymnastics on large equipment- 16/01/18

In this practical session teachers will have the opportunity to extend their knowledge and

skills in ways in which they can use apparatus and develop pupils’ gymnastics skills.

Teachers will be introduced to a variety of ways of organizing equipment in a gymnastic

lesson.

This is designed for both key stage 1 and 2 teachers or support staff.

CPD KS1/KS2 dance ideas- 21/11/17

Key stage 1and 2 creative dance ideas for teachers.

A practical dance session open to all primary school providers who are working with key

stage 1and 2 children. This creative course will enhance staffs knowledge of movement

vocabulary. New ideas for topic work will be introduced to staff in a practical way. The

course aim is to introduce new ideas to teachers who will be providing dance on the PE

curriculum.

Through topic based themes staff will have an insight into the language of dance and the

methodology of creating new and exciting work that can be used straight away in the
